Figure Ground
Figure Ground Relationships deal with how perspective, focus and the centre of interest are used. Usually the figure is the subject matter and the ground refers to the background. In Background over Foreground the background space is emphasized and dominant, taking presence over the foreground. Blend provides both the background and foreground as enticing with neither being dominant.
